Language - The magazines logo is situated in the top left hand corner of the cover, it's bold and red so it stands out from the other features, the magazine's logo is also it's masthead. Lady Gaga is the main image on this cover, she is a well known and popular artists in the music industry. This magazine cover has a skyline at the very top telling the reader that is is 'The UK's biggest music magazine'. Spread out around the cover are small features which appear inside and there is also a splash graphic containing extra information. As like this cover, the barcode is in the bottom right hand corner, around the barcode is the price, issue number and date. There is also a screamer in the third left of the magazine.Institutions - The editor of Q magaizne is Paul Reed former editor of the UK version Kerrang! Q magazine also has a radio station and a website which aslo provide readers with the lastests updates.
Audience - They have a readership of 120,000, Q's audience is composed of passionate, engaged and open minded music fans driven to continually discover new music and to use this lust for discovery to influence their friends. The audience is split 75% male to 25% female and is affluent with 68% ABC1.
Representation - This particular Q magazine cover represents how Lady Gaga has risen throughout fame and the music industry, we know this because of the main story title which is 'Lady Gaga, HAS RISEN', so this gives us the impression that she's working her way up in the world. The cover also represents other music artists.
